Kakadu – Amazing

A full day with private plane to Kakadu. Scenic tour of the rivers. Saw crocodiles and birds and more. Top marks! Great and knowledgable pilot!

Amazing day

Thanks Jack for a very special day. A great way to see two major attractions in one day or how to avoid almost 1000kms of driving! Small planes are not everyone’s cup of tea especially when you are bouncing along at 4000 feet travelling from Wave Rock to Cervantes but it is definitely worth the discomfort. Jack is a great pilot and a nine year flying veteran at just 24 years of age! Surprisingly there is more to see en route including salt lakes and the 45 minute run down the coast back to Perth is spectacular so don’t forget your camera. Special mention also to Kass, our guide to the Pinnacles; so passionate about this very special place and her “little babies” as she refers to the pinnacles newly emerging from the desert sand. Two hours goes by in a moment. Altogether a great day out.

Scenic flight to Rottnest

We were given this trip as a present for Christmas whilst we were visiting from New Zealand. Flew over to Rottnest Island for a half day. It was amazing. Beautiful views and very friendly staff -Jack was our pilot and was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Charity Flight

I bid for and won a scenic flight to Rottnest at a charity auction. I honestly don’t think there is a single thing I’d improve about the experience at all – from the customer service, being flexible when storms postponed our original trip, to the immediacy of the replies and the way we were handled during and after the amazing trip. I can not recommend this enough – an indulgence one might think but so worth it and to see the ocean from the air and the crystal clear waters around Rottnest felt to be a privilege so worthy of probably making the ferry journey too ghastly a prospect for our next visit. We will be availing ourselves of Kookaburra air again, without doubt on some of their other adventures and I’m already salivating at the prospect of lunch at Leeuwin Estate. Meanwhile big shout to Kookaburra Air and their generosity in donating the experience so that people living with disability benefit.

Birthday flight for me and my husband

Staying in Perth, Western Australia with our family. Surprise trip organised for us by them. Lovely flight, friendly pilot and altogether a good experience. Wonderful day. Thanks Kookaburra Air, we loved it.

JACK flew us from Perth to the Pinnacles then to Rottnes. IT WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. We flew over whales, circled the PINNACLES and were given first class service. Jacks knowledge, courteousness, company and experience just added to a perfect day. From the pinnacles to Rottnest island Jacks flying experience showed in his landings and takeoffs in avoiding weather! Jack just gave us a great experience. Thanks Jack! You were such a top bloke! We wish you well! If you want an outstanding memorable experience these guys were sensational.

Flight to Leewin Wirery

Great experience! Competent and professional persons.
Pick up on time, quick but comprehensive induction and straight to the sky. We landed at the winery where people already were waiting for us. Good lunch and very good wine experience.

Back to Perth on time and safely.

Strongly recommended

The best tour ever! Absolutely stunning

Covered nearly 1,000 k! The best tour we have ever done! Our pilots Derek & Jack were exceptional. Professional, friendly & just great guys. Don’t even think twice about the cost, this tour is worth every cent. Stunning scenery with personal service! We saw sooo much in 1 day that would have taken days to cover if by car. This tour was relaxing & fun. Kookaburra Air is an excellent, professional company & will definitely use them again when travelling.

Just go for it!

What a day! As agreed Sue from Jandakot Flight Service met us at the hotel lobby at 7 am and gave us a ride to the regional airport located ca. 20 km south of Perth CBD. A last visit to the toilet and off we went to the airfield with Derrick, a young pilot from South Africa. He showed us how to open the door lock of the tiny aircraft in case of an emergency (with me wondering what would be left of the door and of us in such a case), and then we entered the aircraft or rather pulled ourselves up with me needing a second attempt as there was no proper grab rail. There were 4 passenger seats but the two of us were the only guests. Next to us there was a couple of small yellow planes – firefighting planes used for extinguishing bushfires – and a few larger aircraft with the colours and logos of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Scenic Rottnest Flight

I purchase the half day trip to Rottnest island as an anniversary present for my boyfriend. The pilot was polite and skilled in his instructions and knowledge of the Perth metro area, once landing on Rottnest he gave some good tips on what to do around the island. When we ready to fly home he even took us on a scenic flight over Rottnest to ensure we got the full private scenic flight experience. We would definitely use this company again if we wanted a different tour experience!

Pilot for a day…or maybe an hour

I organised this as part of a trip for my husbands 60th Birthday. He has had a couple of other flying experiences one in a Simulator in Adelaide and one in a small plane in New Zealand (U-fly Wanaka) but this was by far the best. Jandakot airport is approx. $50 Taxi fare from Perth(on a Sunday) but there are cheaper options if you have the time or inclination. They (kookaburra) have an inside reception area where you can wait ( non participants) or there are outside tables and chairs. The pilot that took my husband up ensured he got the type of experience he wanted. Highly recommend this experience if having a go at flying is on your bucket list.

Great airline

We flew with Kookaburra Airvto Wave Rock and the Pinnacles. We managed to miss the crowds at both venues. The flight was quick and comfortable and enabled us to visit both locations in one day which otherwise would not have been possible

Great flight to Wave Rock

Kookaburra Air gave us a great flight to Wave Rock and an excellent tour of the rock when we arrived. Our pilot was professional and experienced as well as a friendly, helpful host for the tour. We are very glad to have enjoyed a relatively quick flight rather than a long drive. Flying over the Scarp and the Wheatbelt was very interesting.

Shark Bay – Exhiliarating day… but you need to be fit!

We wanted to see Shark Bay and the Stromatolites at H-Pool but did not have time for a 3 day tour by bus from Perth. Also, liked the idea of a flight up the coast to see how the landscape changes.
So, we booked the Kookaburra Air 1 day trip for AU$ 2600 for two.

An 05.50 pickup from Perth CBD hotel meant a no-b’fast start. Slightly surprised that the plane was so small – a (nominally) 6 seat Cessna (designed when people were smaller). But we were the only two passengers with the 2 pilots (one on a route familiarisation trip), so space was just about tolerable for the 2.5 hour flight.

Last minute disappointment from other company, this company changed arrangements to accommodate my elderly parents travelling on their 60th wedding anniversary. ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR SERVICE the whole way. Their half day tour around Kakadu and Yellow Water cruise ended up being a trip of a lifetime. Fantastic flight, guide and they were looked after the whole way. Thank you Kookaburra Air. First Class all the way.

We fly from Perth to Wave rock with a Cessna with 5 seats.we had a wonderful guide and pilot on that beautiful day.Wave rock is fantastic to see..Just go for it .We had breakfast and lunch at Hyden a small village where you can see a wildlife park with white kangaroos doves wallabies koalas…
Than we fly back to pinnacles scenic view at Nambung National Park along the Indian Ocean. You’ll have to rent a car for a ground tour because no ground tour guide is available for now.Anyway you must do this great adventure tour

Fantastic Day

We had a wonderful day with Kookaburra Air. They picked us up at our Perth CBD hotel on time at 7am and whisked us out to the airport, where we met our pilot Erfan (hope that spelling’s right). After some quick preliminaries we boarded our Cessna Cutlass RG and took to the skies, heading east to Wave Rock. Erfan was very competent and made us feel quite safe in the air. The plane was a recent model and seemed in very good condition. Landing after a 70-odd minute flight, Erfan drove us the minute or two to The Hippo Yawn and Wave Rock, telling us quite a lot about it, and also left us alone for a time to poke around by ourselves. After a light meal at the Hyden Roadhouse we had another smooth take-off and set a heading for The Pinnacles, which are very interesting to view from the air. This was a three-hour flight and our pilot Erfan was fine for us both to sit in the back seat. After some good turns around The Pinnacles we steered back south towards Rottnest Island, lunching on the way, and had a brilliant view of the WA coastline all the way down. It was blowing a stiffish crosswind at Rottnest, but we set down comfortably and spent a couple of hours exploring the picturesque Island. Finally it was time to head back to Perth. Again it was windy, but we got off smoothly and in a short hop were back in the city. All in all it was an excellent service, a real treat of a day. We were dropped off back at our hotel late in the afternoon after an absolute feast of touring. We found Erfan to be highly professional in every way, helpful, friendly and the whole set-up was great. If you want to get around the sights by plane, I would absolutely recommend Kookaburra Air.

Flight and half day visit to Rottnest Island

A great experience. Mum and I were both nearvous at first, being in a small plane, the pilot was wonderful and put us at ease, pointing out various landmarks as we flew. A nice bus ride round the island with lunch and coffee looking out over the ocean. Thankyou Jandakot Flight Centre and Kookaburra Air, wonderful…..
